Abstract

Harriers are a group of birds that belong to the hawk family.
They are solitary wanderers, relentlessly scanning open
grasslands, thin scrub jungles and agricultural lands for
insects, lizards, rodents and birds.

Harriers appear much smaller than a Black Kite and the majority of the males have varying shades of grey in their plumage while females generally sport a browner plumage. Juveniles are rufous in colouration.
